Privacy Policy
Overview
Cullstudio respects your privacy. The iPad app runs entirely on-device and does not access personal information. To keep improving the experience, we collect a minimal amount of anonymized usage data through the privacy-friendly analytics service TelemetryDeck. Outside of this aggregated analytics data, every feature operates locally on your device.
Data Collection
We do not collect personal information such as your name, email, precise location, photos, or project content. The only data gathered is anonymized usage information sent to TelemetryDeck, which helps us understand how the app is used so we can make meaningful improvements. This anonymized data cannot be linked back to individual users.
Data Storage
Any data you create or modify inside Cullstudio, such as project selections or preferences, remains solely on your device. Deleting the app removes all app-related data.
Third-Party Access
We do not sell or rent personal data to third parties. The external services we rely on are TelemetryDeck, which receives anonymized usage data to help us analyze app performance, and Superwall, which powers our in-app paywall experience. Neither service receives data that can personally identify you, and we do not provide any personal data alongside these events.
Use of TelemetryDeck to Analyze App Usage
We use the privacy-friendly analytics service TelemetryDeck (provider: TelemetryDeck GmbH, Von-der-Tann-Str. 54, 86159 Augsburg, Germany) to analyze usage data. The use is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, as we require reliable and efficient tools for collecting app usage data in order to fulfill the contract with you, our customer.
What data is transferred?
The data processed by TelemetryDeck is completely anonymized and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about personal information.
The following data is collected, among other things:
- an anonymized, untraceable user ID (per app installation),
- actions defined by the app publisher (e.g., "app launched," "settings opened"),
- a rounded timestamp (to the nearest hour),
- device metadata (e.g., system version, app version, device type),
- additional metadata defined by the app publisher (e.g., "number of items in the database").
What is not stored?
- No IP addresses (not in logs, not in the database),
- No cookies or tracking technologies,
- no persistent identifiers that could be traced back to individuals.

Use of Superwall for Paywall Experiences
Cullstudio uses the hosted paywall platform Superwall (provider: Superwall, Inc., San Francisco, USA) to remotely configure and test the paywall experience. The integration is necessary to operate subscription features and is therefore based on our legitimate interest in providing and optimizing premium access (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) and, where applicable, on the execution of the contract with you (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR).
Data handled by Superwall
Superwall processes event metadata generated by the app (for example, that the paywall was shown, dismissed, or a purchase attempt was initiated), an anonymized installation identifier, device information (device model, system version, app version, locale), and coarse location derived from your IP address. This information is used to decide which paywall variant to show, to monitor conversion performance, and to prevent abuse. We do not share any project content or other in-app data with Superwall.
Payment processing remains entirely with Apple via the App Store. Superwall never receives your Apple ID, full IP address logs, payment credentials, or any other directly identifying information.

Children’s Privacy
Because the app collects no personal data and only transmits anonymized analytics events, it is suitable for users of all ages.
Changes to This Policy
If this Privacy Policy changes, we will update this page along with the effective date. Because the app collects no personal data and only sends anonymized analytics events, no direct notifications are sent. Please check this page for updates.
